Oh my goodness, I cannot believe it has been five months since I last put up a blog post, shocking I know. So much for getting my act together and blog posting on a more regular basis, apparently that did not work out so well. Damn you procrastination!
What the hell have I been doing you may ask? Well, in a nutshell, writing, procrastinating about writing, improving my writing and drinking excessive quantities of coffee while I do those things. Although, during the last two weeks I have managed to cram in reading ten books and I have a whole heap more waiting. Go me!
I have to be honest; my fan fiction writing has somewhat spiraled out of control and instead of just doing one story; I am now writing and updating four! What the hell was I thinking? Obviously I was not, at least not on that day, which means writing has pretty much taken up any and all free time in my life.
Goodness, I still haven’t gotten around to upgrading my PC with Windows 10 and most of you who know me well enough have probably fallen off your chairs by now. That shit just doesn’t happen, usually.
I have to say big thanks though to Gardenof, who is my beta reader and dear friend. It has helped immensely having someone reading my ramblings and helped ensure my musings are not an incoherent mess before I put them out into the world. Well, not quite the world, Archive of Our Own or AO3 to peeps who know what I am referring too.
I have also been watching a fabulous YouTube writer called Jenna Moreci, who highly recommends setting quarterly goals. Now for someone like me, setting goals for every three months is guaranteed to fail. Therefore, I have decided to set monthly targets for myself, much more manageable in my opinion, at least for me.
So here are August goals:
1. Update and post on my website at least once per week, even if it is just a couple of paragraphs of complete nonsense.
2. Add all my current Fan fiction stories/chapters to my site.
3. Write at least two chapters of each story.
4. Tidy up the website.
I think that is about it for this month, well see how well I do.
